Founded in London in 2024 by Brazilian dancer Liani Devito, with the collaboration of Leila Heinel, Brian Taylor and Alex Talbot, Império da Rainha is an award-winning Brazilian School of Samba dedicated to celebrating and preserving authentic Brazilian samba and Afro-Brazilian culture.
Led by a Brazilian female president with strong connections to Rio de Janeiro's samba schools, particularly Acadêmicos do Salgueiro, Império da Rainha brings together dancers, musicians and samba enthusiasts through drumming, dance, cultural education and Notting Hill Carnival.
